New version screenshots now available
9 December 2010The development of our new web based inStudio (code name: inStudio2) has reached a critical stage. The User Interface is now out, and although there is still some work to do, we can already show you what it will look like.
There are major changes in the user interface. The main difference comparing to the current inStudio version is the fact that the Archiving, Searching and Admin areas are all available from the same browser window with no need of installing any platform-specific desktop software. Users will also find the new interface much more easy to use.
File handling is transparent for the end user, with files transferred to the archive from shared folders, network locations or the users’ workstations. The gains in speed and usability will allow the Archivist to get done with the job while inStudio processes tasks in parallel.
Beside new features, all of the current inStudio functionality will be present in the new version. Additionally, a completely new system architecture makes inStudio more open and flexible for new modules and enhancements.
The colour scheme is classier than ever with a stylish black and orange layout and fashionable gradients. We don’t supply lounge music or drinks though. Pity, innit?
